Freelance home-visit physiotherapist, Seremban & Nilai
Treat patients in their own homes across Seremban and Nilai on a schedule you control. Ideal for physiotherapists who want autonomy, one-to-one rehab and steady referrals without a fixed employer.
Home-visit physiotherapy is one of the most-requested services we field in Negeri Sembilan, and it is the arrangement that gives physiotherapists the most independence. As a freelance home-visit physiotherapist working with Physio Seremban, you treat patients in their own homes, build your own visit schedule around the referrals you accept, and keep full clinical ownership of each case.
The demand is real and local. Families caring for a parent after a stroke, patients discharged from Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar after surgery, and elderly residents around Rasah, Seremban 2 and Bandar Baru Nilai who cannot easily travel to a clinic all ask us the same thing: can a physiotherapist come to us? This role exists to answer that.
Pay for this role
| Initial home-visit session | RM 100–160 per session |
|---|---|
| Follow-up home-visit session | RM 90–140 per session |
| Approx. hourly equivalent | RM 60–120/hour |
Indicative ranges. Patients in Seremban and Nilai typically pay RM 80–150 for an initial clinic session; home visits sit a little higher because of your travel time. Your actual rate depends on experience, case complexity and distance. Confirm rates directly when you apply.
What the work involves
You visit patients at home and deliver hands-on rehabilitation and progressive exercise programmes. A typical caseload includes:
- Post-stroke and neurological rehabilitation, often for older patients whose families cannot bring them to a clinic.
- Post-surgical recovery, such as after a total knee or hip replacement performed at KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital, Columbia Asia Seremban or Hospital Tuanku Ja'afar.
- Geriatric physiotherapy: falls prevention, balance retraining and mobility work for elderly residents.
- Frail or bed-bound patients who need respiratory or maintenance physiotherapy.
Because you work alone in the patient's home, sound clinical reasoning and safe manual-handling practice matter more here than in a clinic with colleagues on hand.
A realistic day
Home-visit physiotherapists usually cluster visits by area to keep travel sensible. You might see two patients in Seremban 2 in the morning, break, then cover a Rasah and a Senawang patient in the afternoon, using the Seremban interchange and Jalan Tuanku Munawir to move between them.
Many of our home-visit physios front-load a new case with two or three closer-spaced visits to set the rehab plan, then space follow-ups out as the patient improves. You decide the cadence with the patient; we do not dictate it.
Coverage and travel
This role centres on Seremban and Nilai, where the population density makes home visits efficient. In practice that includes Seremban town, Rasah, Mambau, Seremban 2, Senawang, Bandar Sri Sendayan, and across to Nilai and Bandar Baru Nilai.
You tell us the zone you are willing to cover, and we only route enquiries inside it. If you would rather cover a wider or more rural territory, the mobile / area-based role may suit you better.
Who this suits
This role fits physiotherapists who value independence and are comfortable working solo in a patient's home. It works well for experienced clinicians building a private caseload, and equally for capable fresh graduates from Nilai University, INTI International University or Manipal International University who want to start seeing patients without waiting for a clinic vacancy.
You will need your own transport, safe manual-handling technique, and the confidence to make clinical decisions on the spot. Being able to reassure a worried family in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin goes a long way.
How we support you
We send you matched enquiries only: a patient in your area, with a condition that fits your background, who has already told us what they need. There is no cold outreach and no lead fees. You are free to decline any referral, and you set your own rates within the ranges above.
We handle the first-contact matching; you own the clinical care. That division keeps your admin light so your time goes into treating patients.
You are a good fit if you

- Are confident working one-to-one in a patient's home

Questions applicants ask
- How many home visits could I expect?
- It depends on your coverage area and availability, and on demand at the time. You accept only the referrals you want, so you can run this as a full private caseload or a light side arrangement.
- Do I need my own equipment?
- Yes. Home-visit physiotherapists typically carry portable essentials such as a gait belt, resistance bands and basic assessment tools. Larger equipment is arranged case by case.
- What areas would I cover?
- Whatever zone you nominate within and around Seremban and Nilai, for example Rasah, Seremban 2, Senawang, Bandar Sri Sendayan and Bandar Baru Nilai. We only route enquiries inside your zone.
- Can fresh graduates apply?
- Yes, provided you are MAHPC-registered or actively registering. Home visits demand confident solo decision-making, so tell us about your clinical placements when you apply.
- How do I apply?
- Message us on WhatsApp or email your CV with your MAHPC status, experience, the areas you can cover and your availability. We reply within Malaysian business hours.
